Voice consciousness of the subaltern

It is better to step down from the pedestal of reductive and one-dimensional pronouncements now and then. The world doesn't fit into the biases that you form under the spell of half-baked political and social knowledge. Social media has done a service that it has given voice to the oppressed. But the disservice lies in that it is susceptible to easy to digest, rigid and black and white stances. The thing is leveling this charge and peddling that reductive narrative is easy and demands no intellectual effort. In the age of social media, nuance is the calamity. In the age of one sentence statuses meant to galvaizne and to show your wit, engagement with complexity is the calamity. In the age of reducing ground movements to digestible snippets for the short attention span, the social and political realities are caricatured.
You can serve the cause of the oppressed, you can listen to the voice-consciousness of the subaltern; or you can reject the struggle of the oppressed, and you can force your voice to substitute the very voice-consciousness of the subaltern. It is only your foolishness that you think that you can direct the struggle which is born out of a reality that you don't know. It is only your naivety to think that to discredit a nascent movement you will serve the purpose of posterioity. It is only your shortsightedness if you assume that you can dissect a reality through your one-liners and laughable stances.
Long live the struggle.
